Hello from Kloefkorn Elementary! On behalf of Kloefkorn School, I am pleased to welcome you to our website. It is our hope that students, families and neighbors use this website as a resource for current information pertaining to our school community.
Our entire Kloefkorn staff is committed to providing a safe, respectful, collaborative and positive environment where every student learns, achieves and performs. Students are guaranteed an engaging, rigorous, balanced instructional program that is aligned with the Lincoln Public School curriculum standards. Through our Professional Learning Community work, teachers and support staff review student progress on a regular basis and respond to student needs through a variety of research-based instructional strategies. Always mindful of our students’ academic, social and emotional needs, we strive to create and provide the best possible educational climate which will ensure that high levels of learning happen on a daily basis. By teaching and reinforcing school wide student behavior expectations, routines, and our school rules, we believe students can focus on their most important job of learning.
Kloefkorn Elementary is currently home to approximately 500 students. We are organized into grade-level instructional teams: preschool through fifth grade. Our specialists (art, music, physical education, technology) collaborate with classroom teachers as they plan and implement instruction. We also partner with Family Service, which offers before and after school childcare.
We are very fortunate to have strong parent leaders who serve on our active PTO, which focuses their efforts on improving and increasing learning opportunities for Kloefkorn students (Pre-K-5th grade). We encourage parents to join and become active in our school. We are truly fortunate to have a strong Kloefkorn community.
I am thrilled to be joining this successful community and am committed to advancing our mission: Honor the Past. Achieve Excellence in the Present. Inspire Leaders for the Future. Please don’t hesitate to contact me at 402-436-1148 if you have questions or if I can be of assistance to you.
Warmest Regards,
Shayna Cook
