NSCAS Testing begins next week – click here for testing dates (grades 3-5)
NSCAS (Nebraska Student Centered Assessment System) testing for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade is right around the corner. Kloefkorn students in grades 3, 4, and 5 will be participating in a language arts and math assessment. Our fifth graders will also participate in science test. There is a link for our testing schedule below. Being in school during testing is very important. There are several things parents can do to positively contribute to their child’s success. Encourage your child to put forth their best effort with positive statements expressing confidence in their abilities and their efforts. Reinforce those good habits of plenty of rest too. Your support goes a long way to help your child to do their very best in school. As always, we appreciate your support. Our teachers have done an excellent job preparing our students to show what they know and I am confident our students will perform very well!
This year marks the 31st Annual KFRX Mayor’s Run sponsored by Sandhill’s Publishing. Known as midwest America’s largest children’s run, the Mayor’s Run will be giving away 30 bikes and $1 from every entry will be donated to BikeSafeIM.
Any 6th grade or younger child is eligible to run in the Mayor’s Run. Parents, grandparents, older siblings or an adult sponsor are welcome to enter on the family plan and accompany younger runners in heats 3, 4, 5 and 6 and receive a t-shirt. It is NOT necessary for adults to register to accompany a young runner.
If you register by April 19th you should be able to get your packet from Mr. Schmeeckle at school the Friday before the race.
