Message from Mrs. Bowhay
We had a wonderful turnout for our Earth Day/Kloefkorn Clean Up on Saturday, April  21. Thank you to all of the families who helped mulch our school grounds. Special thanks to Angela Korpas and Lori Volin, our PTO chairs for this project! Note: We have a straight edge shovel and a garden hoe that were leftover from earth day. If this belongs to you please pick it up from the office.
Thank you also to all of  our many volunteers who helped with Jane Jungle last weekend.  Our PTO chair, Trisha Wiebusch, did an outstanding job. Trisha volunteered countless hours to make our Janet Jungle fundraiser a huge success. Thank you Trisha!
I hope your children have been sharing what is happening in the art room right now.  Liz Shea McCoy, our artist in residence, taught our students about public art projects  this week and now the students are designing their own creative symbols that will be placed on our beautiful mosaic of love,  a 6 foot by 6 foot heart. The heart will be permanently displayed in our library for everyone to enjoy! What an amazing, once in a lifetime  opportunity for our students. We were able to fund this project by collecting box tops throughout the school year. PTO member, Susan Stibal, deserves a huge thank you for organizing our box top drive and counting thousands of box tops.  Please thank Susan when you see her.
Warmest Regards,
Polly Bowhay, principal

Field Day Volunteers Needed

Please consider signing up to volunteer and help make the last day of school an awesome experience for all. The times of each session are below. We would love to have 20 volunteers per session to assist in running the field day stations. Please sign up for one or by clicking here. Thank you!

Field day schedule:
•9:15-11:15 AM:  Pre-K, 2nd, 3rd & 5th
•12:25-2:25 PM: KG, 1st & 4th

Hurray, Hurray for Pajama Day!
Because Kloefkorn students and families sold over $16,000 in plants for the PTO Janet’s Jungle fundraiser, we will have an all-school Pajama Day on Friday, May 18th. Students can wear their favorite jammies and also bring slippers to wear indoors. Please keep in mind when choosing your comfy wear
that we will still go outside for recess, as usual, so shoes are necessary.
Kloefkornucopia Day
Tuesday, May 22rd
Grand Parade- 2:00 pm (weather permitting)

Join us in celebrating our namesake Bill Kloefkorn, and the close of another successful school year!  Students in grades K-5 will walk in this special parade along with our honorary guest, Mrs. Kloefkorn as Grand Marshal!  Each grades theme will reflect something about Mr. Kloefkorn’s life.

Please join us along the parade route, our “big” block of land includes  Glass Ridge, Meursault, Oakville. Streets around our school will be barricaded beginning at 1:30 (neighbors may notice a police presence), and the parade will begin shortly thereafter.  Bring a lawn chair, wear your plaid, invite your favorite friends, grandparents, siblings, neighbors, and warm up your cheering voice as we celebrate the life – and honor the memory of – our beloved namesake Bill Kloefkorn.

Lost and Found
We have quite the coat collection in our Lost and Found. Feel free to stop in and take a look to see if anything belongs to your family.  Items left behind at the end of the school year will be donated to charity.
