October 2, 2020

Kloefkorn Families,

I know I’ve said this before but you need to continue to hear that our students and staff are doing incredibly well living with our LPS pandemic guidelines. I am so proud of everyone!

We are ending week 7 and parent/teacher conferences are right around the corner. Please review these reminders for our Monday, October 12 and Wednesday, October 14 conference days.

·    All parent/teacher conferences will be held via Zoom.

·    You will receive a day/time confirmation and Zoom link via email from your child’s teacher next week.

·    If you have not signed up for a parent/teacher conference, please do so by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, October 4.

During the month of October, Kloefkorn parents will have the opportunity to participate in a brief LPS CLASS Plan Survey. The data will help LPS evaluate ongoing CLASS Plan implementation, align professional learning efforts, and inform technology purchasing decisions. This year’s increased reliance upon technology to deliver instruction emphasizes the importance of participation.

To participate, please visit the following link:

Your responses will remain anonymous to protect you and your students’ privacy. The last day to complete this questionnaire is Friday, October 30th.

Thank you for taking part in this important survey.

Questions can be directed to me at or 402-436-1148.

Parents, this is for you!

Parents, do you ever have basic questions about your child’s mental health or even knowing what that really means? You’re definitely not alone! Blue Valley Behavioral Health’s Kelsey Harding PLMHP is presenting a brief and informative four-part, 30-minute series called:

Mental Health 101: How can you help your child cope with today’s stress!

This 30-minute, four-part series will cover different subject areas over a two-week period and will go from 5:00 – 5:30pm on the dates below. The schedule is as follows:

  • Part 1: What exactly does mental health mean?  Monday October 19
  • Part 2: How can I tell if my child is anxious or depressed? Wednesday October 21
  • Part 3: My child is struggling, what can I do? Monday October 26
  • Part 4: Mental Health and COVID-19 Wednesday October 28

This series will be available via Zoom, and the link below is for all four dates. If you cannot link to Zoom automatically, simply cut and paste the link into your browser.
