Lucky Cub March is Coming on March 17th!
If the PTO had a nickel for every time we felt lucky to have our Kloefkorn staff working hard this year, we wouldn’t need a fundraiser. Time to start collecting those nickels!
This year has been strange and the PTO may not be funding field trips and public art, but we want to be able to support our staff with enough classroom sets of things to stay COVID-safe, individual headphones for all students, staff appreciation, books for the bookroom, specialized curriculum, and more. The walk will look a little different, but we promise it will still be a TON OF FUN!
Look for more information and fundraising packets to come in Friday folders next week!

- Traditional Valentines (paper cards) will NOT be distributed or brought to school by students.
- Candy and non-edible trinkets (pencils, stickers) will not be brought from home and distributed.

- Games and crafts are allowed if following guidelines above.
2021-2022 Kindergarten Registration ONLINE
Enroll your future kindergartener for the 2021-2022 school year! Lincoln Public Schools is now accepting kindergarten registrations for the 2021-2022 school year. The first deadline for families to register their child to guarantee they receive important school information is March 31, 2021.
In accordance with Nebraska statute, children may enter kindergarten if they turn five years of age on or before July 31, 2021. Please visit Lps.org if you have a child who qualifies to attend kindergarten for the 2021-2022 school year and begin the online registration process at this time.
If your child has previously been enrolled in LPS Early Childhood or received any type of education services from LPS, do not register them on-line for Kindergarten. This will create a duplicate record. Please call the Kloefkorn office or email Carin at email@example.com (registrar) with questions.
Special Attendance Permit
The deadline for submitting a special attendance permit for the 2021-2022 school year was January 5, 2021.
*If you are already attending Kloefkorn on permit, you do not need to complete another permit.
*If you have a 5th grade student and want them to attend a middle school not in your home address attendance area, you will need to submit a permit.
*If you have an older child who is currently attending Kloefkorn on permit and have an incoming kindergarten student, you will need to fill out a permit.
*The Special Attendance Permit is found on the LPS.ORG home page>Student Services or by contacting the Kloefkorn office. If you have any questions, feel free to call the office at 402-436-1148 or email Carin firstname.lastname@example.org.
Instructional Technology Tools (ITTs) in LPS & The LPS Portal
LPS believes that effective instruction can and should include the appropriate use of instructional technology to support learning. To that end, a District Instructional Technology Tool (ITT) Committee works to identify ITTs that are safe for student use, support district learning goals, and encourage innovative teaching and learning. All reviewed ITTs are cataloged in the LPS ITT Matrix [https://www.lps.org/apps/matrix/].
The most frequently used, approved, and supported ITTs are made available to students and staff in the LPS Portal [https://lps.org/go/YXGE]. Students access their LPS Portal by clicking the ‘HOME’ button on their Chromebook.
Need a conversation starter with your student? Ask them for a tour of their LPS Portal and which ITTs they are currently using in class.
