Thank you for your attendance at our zoom parent/teacher conferences this week! We’ve had feedback from parents letting us know they like this option. Hopefully next year we’ll be back to in person parent teacher conferences and possibly zoom conferences as a parent choice. We truly appreciate your partnership, support, and interest in your child’s education. If you were not able to schedule a zoom parent/teacher conference, we would love to have the opportunity to schedule a conference with you. Please contact your child’s teacher to schedule a time. Strong parental support makes a tremendous impact on a child’s educational journey.

Thank you to our fabulous PTO for providing dinner for our staff during both nights of conferences!

We are gearing up for NSCAS testing (Nebraska Student Centered Assessment System). All of our 3rd, 4th and 5th graders will be taking these tests in April.  Please see the testing calendar below. We ask that you do your very best to reschedule any appointments that may take your child out of school on the testing dates.

Have a fun and safe Spring Break!

Spring Testing Information

There are several things parents can do to positively contribute to their child’s success.  Encourage your child to put forth their best effort with positive statements expressing confidence in their abilities and their efforts. A good night’s sleep and a nutritious breakfast will go a long way to help your child best show what they know and are able to do on the test. Finally, being in school during testing is very important. Please reschedule any appointments that may take your child out of school on the testing dates listed above.  As always, we appreciate your support!

2021-2022 Kindergarten Registration ONLINE

Enroll your future kindergartener for the 2021-2022 school year!  In accordance with Nebraska statute, children may enter kindergarten if they turn five years of age on or before July 31, 2021. Please visit if you have a child who qualifies to attend kindergarten for the 2021-2022 school year and begin the online registration process at this time.

If your child has previously been enrolled in LPS Early Childhood or received any type of education services from LPS, do not register them on-line for Kindergarten.  This will create a duplicate record.  Please call the Kloefkorn office or email Carin at (registrar) with questions.

2021-2022 Preschool Applications

At this time Lincoln Public Schools Early Childhood Office is accepting 2021-2022 preschool applications and necessary documentation online, by email, fax or mail. The preschool program is available to children who reside in the Lincoln Public Schools boundaries. Children who are at least 3 years of age on or before July 31, 2021 and who have not yet turned five as of July 31, 2021 are eligible to apply.

Visit for more information.

Lucky Cub March on March 17th!

If the PTO had a nickel for every time we felt lucky to have our Kloefkorn staff working hard this year, we wouldn’t need a fundraiser. Time to start collecting those nickels!

This year has been strange and the PTO may not be funding field trips and public art, but we want to be able to support our staff with enough classroom sets of things to stay COVID-safe, individual headphones for all students, staff appreciation, books for the bookroom, specialized curriculum, and more. The walk will look a little different, but we promise it will still be a TON OF FUN!
